There are some moments during a wedding day, when you just have to trust your gut, and cross your fingers that the bride and groom trust you too. We had one of these moments with Ashlee and Jordan and we are so, so, so glad that we jumped the fence!!
Lets start at the beginning…
It was another beautiful day for a South West wedding. The morning ran so smoothly. The bride and groom were getting ready at Smiths Beach Resort, and Ashlee couldn’t believe that she got to sit and enjoy a glass of champagne before she put her dress on. The Bridal party looked amazing. Classical and elegant are the only words I can use.
At Wills Domain, the wedding guests were greeted with the smooth vocals of acoustic artist Luke McPharlin. This was a special surprise for Jordan, organised by Ashlee.
On the lawn area overlooking the vineyard valley of Wills domain, Ashlee and Jordan shared and romantic ceremony, lead by their dear friend Brooke Tymms.
Ashlee and Jordan were fortunate enough to have access to a friends farm that was close to the Wills Domain Winery. We jumped in our car and headed to the property, making sure electric fences were off before we climbed into fields, and gates were closed behind us. Just as we had finished taking photos in a beautiful hillside field, the sun was disappearing, it was time to head back to the reception. We were running a little late. The girls were in one car, the boys in another and Shannon and I were in ours. We came to a locked fence and I jumped out to unlock it and there we saw it. That magical piece of golden light. Shannon and I looked at each other… Lets do this. We just HAD to do this.
The boys were lagging behind (wee break) so I knocked on Ashlee’s window while Shannon made sure that the fence wasn’t electric. Now, I cant remember my exact words, but it was something alone the lines of “Jump the Fence!!” Ashlee the legend, didn’t even question it and it was so worth it. Our favourite photos of the day. When Jordan and the boys rolled up, I’m pretty sure I shouted at him to “Jump the Fence” too. Seven minutes of golden bliss.
Thanks Ashlee and Jordan for jumping the fence and allowing us to be part of your magical day!
