When we first met Alex and Perrine on a cold Autumn morning at Alex’s Family property, we knew this wedding was going to tick a lot of our boxes.
As Perrine explained to us the vision for her DIY French/ Australian, vintage, palette furniture inspired ceremony and reception, we could barely contain ourselves. From the ceremony under the large Peppi and Fig trees, to the Palette bar, Alex was the man for the job and this was going to look amazing. Not to mention the biggest game of Jenga we had ever seen!
When the big day arrived, all of our expectations were met. Alex, Perrine and Alex’s family had turned the back yard of the family home into an amazing space for their family and friends to share their special day. Beautiful bouquets of natives (some grown in Alex’s mums garden), gorgeous succulents as gifts for the guests, a DIY palette dance floor. And the coolest ‘Wet Ya Whistle’ bar!!
Following a beautiful ceremony, we headed out for our bridal party photos. Now, like all photographers, we are always looking for fresh locations for our brides and grooms. This one particular field close to Alex and Perrine’s home had been calling our names for quiet a while and, as luck should have it one this day, the grass, the sun and an unlocked gate meant that we were finally going to be able to take photos in ‘Our field of Dreams’. And, we must say, Alex and Perrine were the perfect couple for this field. We squeezed every bit of sunlight out of the day. We were so excited that this moment was finally happening!!
Back at the reception, the guests were enjoying drinks from the bar, Giant Jenga, relaxing in the comfy lounge chairs and filling their bellies with the deliciousness that is Tapalicious!!
An amazing day, amazing couple and an amazing evening with the guests partying the night away under the stars.
