Sometimes, Plan B ends up being better than the original plan and this was the case for Sarah and Tyron’s Gilgara Retreat Wedding.
After a beautiful ceremony in front of Gilgara Homestead, held in the shade of the big old maple tree, Sarah and Tyron were able to take some time out to celebrate with their guests, enjoying canapés and lawn games. Soon enough, it was our favourite part of the day. Golden Hour. The original plan was to head to Old Ellensbrook House but unfortunately (or rather fortunately) it was closed for refurbishment. Activate plan B. A lush, green fairy forest near Cowaramup that Shannon and I had discovered a few weeks earlier.
We were pretty excited to take some lovely pictures in our new favourite forest. Sarah looked like an angel and Tyron, her perfect prince. Plan B was perfect!
A teepee reception on the lawn awaited the newlyweds, who we had back just in time for sunset.
Extra credit also goes to Sarah for her beautiful homemade quilts that kept everyone warm and her talented sister Anna and her husband Dave who made the stunning wedding cake.
A massive thanks you to Sarah and Tyron for trusting us with their wedding day and making our Fairy Forest adventure so much fun.
A huge thanks also to the following peeps who made this day magical. Go team!!
